Pastor – Jeff Steppe
Jeff and Kristy have returned to CCCS after serving here from 1996-2003. During the intervening years, they planted a church in Bellefonte, PA and most recently served at a multi-ethnic church in Upper Marlboro, MD near Washington DC. Jeff and Kristy met while they were students at Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) and have two children, Josiah and Caroline. Jeff loves to teach God’s word in a way that is accessible and applicable to people’s daily lives. He has learned through experiences, both personal and from others, that the Christian life is a journey with fellow strugglers and that we all desperately need the grace of Jesus.
worship leader – amy way
Amy has been serving as the Worship Leader at CCCS since November 2018. A Pennsylvania College of Technology graduate, she holds a degree in Business Administration Management with a minor in International Business. Amy and her husband Brandon have five amazing children. When Amy was fifteen years old, God ignited a passion for worship in her at a youth conference. He has been growing, molding and stretching her ever since. Her favorite thing about worshipping is when you’re in that moment of worship, totally surrendered, nothing else matters, no one else matters. It is just you and God, raw and real.
Women’s Ministry – KRISTY STEPPE
Kristy is excited to join the staff here at CCCS as of October 2020. Growing up in a Christian home, she served the local church through being a nursery volunteer, teaching, leading worship, and whatever job needed done. She attended Johnson Bible College to become a missionary and ended up marrying a minister! For the last 26 years she has served alongside her husband Jeff. God has given them two blessings from above, Josiah and Caroline. Kristy loves the reminder found in Hebrews 12:2 and wants to encourage all women in the same way, “Let us fix our eyes upon Jesus!”
STUDENT MINISTRY – ALEX BLAKELY
Alex grew up in a small town about twenty minutes outside of St. Louis, Missouri. In high school, he planned on going to school to become a corporate lawyer but soon realized God had a different plan for him. He attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri, where God placed it on his heart to work with and invest in students. He moved to Williamsport to work for CCCS in August of 2019. Alex loves playing sports and traveling. He has visited over twenty countries and has a goal to visit all seven continents.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY – MONICA GILLESPIE
Monica moved from Louisiana to Pennsylvania in 2019. In Louisiana, she was involved with Children’s Ministry for over 20 years, serving in various positions. She has been married to her husband Shane for almost 27 years and has three children. Monica has a passion to see kids develop a deep personal relationship with the Lord that they can then go out and share with others. She says that seeing your kids “disciple others is one of the greatest things you can ever witness!” As Children’s Ministry Leader, she is excited to see God’s Kingdom furthered through the children’s program at CCCS.
Secretary – Dee Gannon
Dee has been the secretary at CCCS since October 2019. Before coming to CCCS she worked as a church secretary for nine years at another local church. She has a certificate in clerical studies and an associate degree in Advertising Art from Williamsport Area Community College (now Pennsylvania College of Technology). She is married and has two daughters and loves spending time with her family. Dee loves to paint and has done numerous art projects for the church.
Financial Secretary – Megan Wheeland
Megan has been our financial secretary since July of 2019. She grew up on her family’s farm outside of Williamsport and attended Mansfield University to pursue degrees in both mass communication: public relations and organizational communication. Megan enjoys spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews, and loves country music.
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE – MITCHELL MCMANUS
Mitchell was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and has attended CCCS since 2002. He has faithfully served the congregation since 2016, and enjoys being on the tech team for Sunday worship services. He recently graduated from Williamsport Area High School and started McManus Line Painting, LLC. His mission is to serve, maintain, and beautify God’s house of worship. In his free time, he enjoys listening to contemporary Christian music and kayaking.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
While God and the Bible are the ultimate authority for The Christian Church at Cogan Station, there is a leadership structure to keep the day-to- day operations and ministry of the church moving correctly. The leadership of CCCS has a few integral parts. CCCS is first and foremost an elder-led church. The elders provide oversight, vision, and guidance to the corporate side of the church and most importantly the spiritual side of the church. The elders’ leadership is expressed through the ministry of the staff, which is made up of full-time ministry staff, full-time support staff, and part-time ministry and support staff. The Christian Church at Cogan Station leadership ensures that everything that is done honors Jesus as Lord and Savior and lifts Him up as the true Leader of His Church.
